Jessie Mae's Southern Creole Cuisine
Jessie Mae's Restaurant believes that the gateway into our future is through our youths within the communities our business operates. The best way to predict the best outcome is to create it, so Jessie Mae's Restaurant has been a volunteer for giving young underprivileged children a chance at learning a set of skills that can be applied regardless what type of environment or background you may come from, in the culinary art of southern creole cooking.
We are able to accomplish this due to the generous support of many contributors, but also because we are an organization that is solely comprised of great customer support.
They come to Jessie Mae's Restaurant unskilled, nervous and broken, but when they leave their excited, motivated and ready to challenge the new world of entrepreneurship!
Becoming an entrepreneur doesn't happen overnight, but in the course of a summer our children learn enough to make a small decision that'll have a large impact on their lives in the future. From the hard work to starting their own venture, bookkeeping and marketing. They learn a little of everything it'll take to become successful.
As Jessie Mae's Youth Summer Program comes to an end of summer, we also try to provide the youth with school supplies, and hope tp get enough support for 2017 to give our youth scholarships for graduation to help the transition from High School to College or Entrepreneurship an ease!
